How to Enroll with Shoreline’s Cascade K 8 School located at the Aldercrest Campus

If you’re new to Cascade K8 and interested in enrolling your kindergartener – 8th grader in our school you will first need to attend a tour of the school. Grades K to 8 are open to out of district students at this time.

Onsite – October 18, 2022 at 10 am Grades 6,7,8
Onsite – November 17, 2022 at 10 am Grades K-5
Onsite – January 24, 2023 at 10 am All Grades
Onsite – February 8, 2023 at 10 am 2023-24 Kindergarten Only
Zoom- February 8, 2023 at 7 pm 2023-24 Kindergarten Only (email jennifer.seffernick@ssd412.org to receive zoom link)
February 16th at 10am 2023-24 Kindergarten Only
February 27th at 2pm 2023-24 Kindergarten Only
Onsite – March 21, 2023 at 10 am 4th to 8th grades Only
Onsite April 18th, 2023 at 10 am. All Grades

No need to pre-register for in person tours. Students and siblings are welcome to attend.

Kindergarten Enrollment Timeline for 2023-24

Kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year Lottery Enrollment steps

Step 1: Attend onsite or in person tour (dates above).

Step 2: Enroll Student at your neighborhood school- Starts in February of 2023

Enrollment of a student is completed via the online school district portal. Please follow district instructions and timeline to register with your neighborhood school.

Step 3: Turn in completed Cascade K8 Application – Before February 15, 2023

Completed Cascade K8 application will be received after a tour is completed and can be turned in via email or in person to the Cascade K8 office manager, Jennifer Seffernick jennifer.seffernick@ssd412.org.

Application for resident Transfer, 1 page – This form is only used once you accept a spot at Cascade and will allow your home school to transfer your completed student application.

Step 4: Cascade Lottery – Early March

Our Office Manager and Principal pull names from a hat and place them in numerical order. Calls will be made to inform families if they have a spot or their waitlist number.
